TherolewillbejoiningaleadingsoftwarehouseincentralBath,buildingandmaintaininginfrastructurefortheirSaaSproducts.TheyareintheprocessofinvestingheavilyintheirtechnicalenvironmentandarelookingforanInfrastructureEngineerwhocanhelpwithnewtechimplementations.
Coreresponsibilitieswillinclude:
* Maintaininghostinginfrastructure(ensuringavailabilityofweb,databaseandmessagingsystems)
* Managingservers(acrossdevelopment,testandproduction)
* Monitorrespondtoinfrastructureevents(suchasavailabilityandcapacitymanagement)
* Beproactivewithinfrastructureupgrades
Thetechnicalenvironmentlookslikethis:
* AWScloudinfrastructure(AWSexperiencewouldbeidealbutAzure/GCPalsoconsidered)
* MajorityWindows/someLinuxservers
* NginX,IIS,virtualisation,webservices
* ActiveDirectory/DNS/DHCPetc.

TheywillbemovingtowardsworkingwithInfrastructureasaCode(Terraform)andcontainerisation(Docker);theywouldeitherbelookingforsomepreviousexperienceoradesiretolearn.
