 
        This position is within the EMEA Syndicate Operations team, providing logistical support to the EMEA Global Capital Markets (GCM) department in all their equity and fixed income new issuance activity. GCM is one of the firm's most critical, dynamic, and strategic business' undertaking high value, high focus transactions. These include Primary IPO share offerings, Primary Debt offerings and Secondary sourced business such as large block sales and follow-ons. The team covers all European and MENA markets on transactions that are often complex with initial listings on Exchanges and primary settlement of securities. This entails extensive interaction with external counterparties such as legal counsel, Central Securities Depositaries (CSD), local market agents and banking counterparts amongst others. Additionally, the individual will be responsible for extensive front to back transactional coordination with internal Operations stakeholders and other divisions such as Corporate Treasury and Sales and Trading during the lifecycle of a deal. The role is on the private side of firm business as, by their nature, the transactions supported often involve confidential/ private sensitive information and the team sits in the segregated GCM department. The Syndicate Operations team works closely with Business Units and Infrastructure management in realising firm objectives. The role requires a high level of risk management awareness and guardianship. The candidate needs to demonstrate they can take ownership of initiatives and make decisions based on sound judgment in complex situations, which serve the best long term interests of the organisation.
