We are searching for a passionate individual to run our popular coffee shop's kitchen and lead a small team who are responsible for creating dishes and bakes that meet our cafe's high standards, create menu ideas and plan for our growing business' future.
The ideal person will have experience working in a professional kitchen and will be able to lead a small team of chefs while also working directly with local suppliers and the front of house team.
Although preferable, previous head chef experience is not necessarily required. We are simply looking for a passionate professional chef who can demonstrate an ability to effectively and respectfully manage a small team and the day to day running of the kitchen.

This is a day-time kitchen role to facilitate a quality brunch menu with a focus on local products and beautiful dishes but will also have elements of outside catering and occasional supper clubs built in to the role.
Responsibilities:
* Maintain a clean and sanitary kitchen and keep up to date HACCP records
* Operate to weekly KPI's
* Implement cost saving measures
* Stock ordering and management control of waste
* Be familiar with food-handling regulations and safe cooking practices
* Prepare food according to the menu and customers' needs and preferences.
* Prepare food in a timely manner
* Be able to explain dishes to wait staff and customers.
* Ensure the safety of food products.
* Follow the directions of management; work well as part of a team
