Job Title: Senior Accommodation Pathway Officer

Location of post: Beaufort House, Groves Road, Cimla, SA11 1YE / Ty Parc Newydd, 53-55 Lewis Road, Neath SA11 1DJ with a requirement to work across various locations within NPT.

Your workstyle will be a mobile hybrid worker in this role which gives you the flexibility to work from home and from a variety of Council workplaces.

About the role:

We are currently seeking a passionate, enthusiastic and forward‑thinking individual to join our team as a Senior Accommodation Pathway Officer.

As a Senior Accommodation Pathway Officer, you will be responsible for leading and co-ordinating the “Homes for Me” (HFM) Service, ensuring consistent, high-quality service delivery that aligns with the principles of HFM.

HFM support persons who have been homeless for a long time or many times, and who often face multiple, overlapping challenges for which traditional homelessness interventions has not worked.

Your role will:

1. Involve leading and co‑ordinating the HFM Service, ensuring high-quality, consistent delivery rooted in the principles of trauma-informed, person-centred support.
2. Provide front-line guidance and tailored housing support to persons in temporary accommodation who are identified as needing the HFM approach - remaining actively involved through their journey and beyond move-on.
3. Work alongside people to build their skills, confidence, resilience, and independence, enabling them to sustain accommodation and improve overall wellbeing.
4. Co-ordinate and facilitate MDT’s throughout the service.Balancing competing needs and priorities and differing views and opinions of professionals, RSL’s and providers.
5. Line manage the Accommodation Pathway Officer, offering leadership, oversight and support to ensure the service is impactful and effective).

About you:

6. Proven experience supporting people with multiple and complex needs, including challenges related to substance misuse, offending behaviour, mental health, and exploitation.
7. A strong insight into the barriers faced by people experiencing homelessness.
8. Excellent collaborative working skills, enabling positive and productive relationships with professionals, RSL’s and providers to deliver effective, person‑centred housing solutions.
9. The ability to work in a trauma informed, person-centred way, using creative and flexible problem-solving approaches to achieve the best possible outcomes.

Please note you must be Educated to degree level or equivalent.
