Principal Firmware Engineer
T2M Resourcing are working with a growing technology and manufacturing business to recruit a Principal Firmware Engineer to lead automotive software development and validation activities.
As a Principal Firmware Engineer you will specialise in developing embedded software within AUTOSAR and MISRA-C requirements.
Duties of the Principal Firmware Engineer:
1. Developing embedded software for multiple automotive and aerospace products.
2. Mentoring and leading teams on technical projects.
3. Utilising tools such as CANope and CANlyser.
4. Configuration of software using ETAS ISOLAR.
5. Partner with Systems and Electronics Teams to ensure software is developed as part of the wider product requirements.
6. Code reviews alongside software and test teams.
7. Working with Software Test Engineers to plan and execute testing.
Requirements to be successful as a Principal Firmware Engineer:
1. Degree level qualification in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, or similar field.
2. Subject matter expert in embedded/firmware software development.
3. Able to lead by example.
4. Understanding of AUTOSAR and MISRA-C.
5. Experience of automotive/aerospace software development process.
6. Working knowledge of software development tools, such as:
7. MATLAB/Simulink
8. Embedded Coders
9. ETAS ISOLAR
10. CAN
This role can be completed as a hybrid role with up to 2 days a week from home.
