Looking to gain classroom experience, build confidence, or take the next step into education? This could be right up your street
We’re working with a number of supportive secondary schools across Harrogate who are on the lookout for reliable and adaptable Cover Supervisors to join their teams. These schools are well-regarded for their welcoming staff culture, strong behaviour systems, and commitment to helping both students and staff succeed.
This role is ideal for graduates, aspiring teachers, sports coaches, youth workers, tutors, or anyone with experience working with young people who’s looking to make a real difference in schools. You don’t need qualified teacher status, just confidence, resilience, and the ability to engage a classroom.
No two days are the same, and that’s exactly what makes this role so rewarding.
What you’ll be doing:
• Supervising classes across a variety of subjects using pre-prepared lesson materials
• Managing classroom behaviour and keeping students focused on learning
• Supporting pupils throughout the school day and encouraging positive engagement
• Building strong relationships with students, teachers, and school staff
• Creating a calm and productive learning environment
Why this role is a great opportunity:
✅ Excellent classroom experience for aspiring teachers
✅ Flexible working options to suit your availability
✅ Supportive schools with welcoming departments and staff teams
✅ Great opportunity to develop behaviour management and leadership skills
✅ Chance to work in different schools and build experience quickly
✅ A rewarding role where you can make a real impact every day
What we’re looking for:
• Experience working with young people in any setting, schools, coaching, youth work, tutoring or similar
• Confident communication and a proactive attitude
• Strong classroom presence and the ability to think on your feet
• A genuine passion for supporting young people and education
• Graduates and aspiring teachers are strongly encouraged to apply
If you’re looking for a role where every day is different, your confidence grows quickly, and you can genuinely make a difference in schools, we’d love to hear from you ✨
