Job Title: Group Management Accountant
Location: West Bromwich (Hybrid)
Role Overview: As the Group Management Accountant, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of management accounting up to trial balance. This includes balance sheet reconciliations, accruals, prepayments, journal entries, and managing some payroll queries.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Prepare and analyse monthly management accounts up to trial balance
2. Conduct thorough balance sheet reconciliations
3. Manage accruals and prepayments
4. Post journal entries accurately and efficiently
5. Respond to and resolve payroll queries
6. Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts
7. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to provide financial insights and support decision-making
8. Support the Finance team in ad-hoc tasks as required
Requirements:
9. AAT or Part Qualified ACCA, CIMA or equivalent
10. Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software
11. Ambitious and eager to progress towards the role of Financial Controller
12. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
13. Previous experience in a similar role, ideally within the manufacturing sector
14. Strong understanding of management accounting principles
15. Ability to work autonomously and meet tight deadlines
Salary & Benefits:
16. £30,000 - £35,000 per annum
