The Role ALS Laboratories are looking for a Laboratory Analyst Grade 1 to support our General Microbiology 2 department at ALS Coventry. The person will be responsible for ensuring procedures are followed to effectively and accurately test samples, and record results. The right candidate will have a keen eye for detail and be able to closely follow instructions.
Hours Per Week: 37
Days Per Week: Tuesday to Saturday (06:00 - 14:00)
Contract: Full Time and Permanent
Salary: £24,242 per annum

Responsibilities
* Understand customer requirements.
* Ensure samples are completed efficiently and effectively following all process, procedures, and legislation.
* Deliver on key performance indicators.
* Report analytical data.
* Participate in the Taste and Odour panel on a rotational basis following screening.
* Assist team members to achieve work objectives.
* Proactively ensure compliance with Health and Safety policies and procedures.
Essentials
* Qualifications: 5 GCSEs at Grade C (equivalent to new Grade 4) or above to include Science, Maths and English and an A level or equivalent in scientific subject.
* Ability to follow instructions and procedures, with a willingness to learn.
* Client-driven; Excellent communication skills; Computer literate; Great collaborator.
* Ability to plan and organise own work area.
