The Role
As a Level 2 Teaching Assistant, you will:
1. Provide targeted support to pupils with a range of SEN needs, both in small groups and on a 1:1 basis.
2. Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging, differentiated learning activities.
3. Help create a calm, structured, and supportive classroom environment.
4. Use a variety ofmunication strategies and resources to ensure learning is accessible for all pupils.
5. Support pupils with emotional regulation, social interaction, and confidence-building.
6. Work closely with teachers, therapists, and specialist staff to implement personalised learning plans.
7. Contribute to monitoring pupil progress and sharing observations with the teaching team.
8. Build positive, trusting relationships with pupils, parents, and carers.
Candidate Requirements
We are looking for someone who is:
9. Experienced working with children with SEN, ideally in a school or specialist setting.
10. Confident using positive behaviour management strategies.
11. Patient, empathetic, and resilient, with a genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs.
12. Able to adapt support to suit a wide range of learning styles and developmental stages.
13. A strongmunicator who works well as part of a collaborative team.
14. Qualified to Level 2 in Supporting Teaching & Learning (or equivalent).
