Requirements
* Have maintenance skills, either professional or DIY enthusiast
* ‘Can do’ attitude – a team player who rolls up sleeves to help others
* Confident buying smaller pieces of maintenance equipment
* Willing to undertake Health & Safety and other relevant training
Salary: £24,640 per year – up to £25,583 + excellent benefits.
Shift Pattern
The role involves working a shift pattern of either an ‘early’ (7.30am‑3.30pm) or ‘late’ (10am‑6pm) day. A site manager works the alternate shift, so both staff members must be able to work either shift.
Responsibilities
As a maintenance worker at Castlefell School you will support the school building, drive and maintain school vehicles, keep the grounds and garden neat and tidy. You will be a familiar, friendly face, engaging with young people – you will receive child safeguarding training for added confidence.

Castlefell School is a purpose built, brand new, state‑of‑the‑art school catering primarily for children with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs and providing for children with autism who have moderate learning needs. The school provides education for up to 50 children aged 8‑16, serving Rudgeway and the wider community.
