Health Care Support Worker (HCSW) – part‑time permanent
An exciting opportunity for a part‑time permanent Health Care Support Worker (HCSW) to join an established and welcoming Community Mental Health Team (CMHT) in Dumfries.
Key responsibilities include:
* Providing support to patients in line with patient centred care plans and risk assessments.
* Monitoring physical health for moderate‑to‑severe mental health conditions, including venepuncture, ECG, Clozapine and Lithium monitoring.
* Supporting the nursing team in the delivery of safe, high‑quality care.
* Giving general health advice, education and support to patients to achieve recovery goals and promote self‑care and independence.
* Working collaboratively with service users, families, carers and other agencies in the Dumfries locality.
The successful candidate will be based at the CMHT base at Mountainhall Treatment Centre in Dumfries, with some travel within the Dumfries area.
