Business Support Assistant - Early Help
The Business Support Assistant in Early Help provides both virtual and on-site support across the Early Help service. The Business Support Assistant is responsible for undertaking administrative duties, working in a team under the supervision of the Early Help Advisory Manager, by liaising with service staff within the directorate to ensure that work is completed on time and to appropriate standards. The post holder will have good administration and technology experience to undertake a range of functions that may include: note or minute taking, preparing and organising business meetings, processing workflows, dealing with internal and external customers and providing a high quality customer experience.

About the role
Early Help is a dynamic team that is all about supporting children aged 0-18 years and their families when difficulties emerge. As a Business Support Assistant in Early Help you will be responsible for working alongside your colleagues in the Early Help team to ensure that families are provided with the right support by the right services before problems become more difficult. Previous experience in a social care business support role would be beneficial but is not essential as we would be happy to support the learning and development of the right candidate.
This role provides both virtual and on-site support across the Early Help service. The Business Support Assistant is responsible for undertaking administrative duties, working in a team under the supervision of the Early Help Advisory Manager, by liaising with service staff within the directorate to ensure that work is completed on time and to appropriate standards.

About you
As the Business Support Assistant in Early Help you will be expected to be well organised and have excellent time management skills. You will be working with your own team and also liaising with a wide range of staff within the directorate and your contributions will be key to the successful delivery of services to families who need them.
In this position, you will:
2. Have good customer service skills - the interaction with internal and external customers is a core requirement, including routine enquiries from members of the public, receiving and responding to incoming communication
3. Experience of using G-Suite, MS Office applications and keeping basic records - both manual and electronic, including confidential records, filing documents, accurately recording information and archiving files in a standard form
4. Ability to prepare and distribute basic agendas, presentations and papers and take minutes where appropriate for meetings
5. Some project management support experience - updating spreadsheets, research and organising communications
6. Demonstrate a passion for Achieving for Children's vision, mission and values to support children and young people to live safe, happy, healthy and successful lives
