Hours
20 //23 hours per week (term time). Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday 14:30-6:00pm, 11:30am to 6pm on Fridays (After School Club).
Overtime may be available.
Hours will differ during school holidays, Any shift pattern between 7:30 am and 6pm Monday to Friday.
Purpose of Job
To provide a service compatible with good practice in the care of children, within our policies and procedures, and systems laid down by the Care Inspectorate.
Responsibilities
* Be able to build positive relationships with children in our care and their families.
* An understanding of and ability to maintain confidentiality.
* You will undertake training as required and be committed to continuous personal learning and development.
* You must register with the SSSC within 3 months of your start date
* You will follow Burgh’s, policies and procedures relating to your own health and safety and that of staff and service users at all times
* You will uphold the principles of Dignity at Work and Equal Opportunities policies at all times, working in a way which supports an inclusive work environment that is respectful of differences.
Tasks
* To assist with planning, preparing and delivering quality play opportunities within a safe and caring environment adjusting for all children
* To provide comprehensive care for the children including collecting them from school and delivering them safely to the club and then to parents or carers at the end of the day.
* Provide snacks and refreshments, ensuring that hygiene and health and safety standards are met, including the wearing of appropriate PPE.
* Assist children with personal care where necessary.
* To administer first aid to the children when necessary.
* Involve the children in planning activities.
* Helping with club administration, where necessary.
* Facilitating good communication with all members of the team, parents, schools and childcare and play related agencies.
* Keeping the work environment healthy, safe and secure.
* Supporting students and volunteers.
* Taking on duties/tasks as delegated by the Club Manager.

Pay: £12.21-£13.75 per hour
