Department overview Finance at Aston Martin Lagonda is critical to supporting the business objectives and overall strategy. Working as a key support function (with Parts & Aftersales) to assess the impacts and likely scenarios objectively financially for business decisions. This is achieved by business partnering and working side by side with all departments to understand and analyze the consequences or value that can be created or removed from these actions. The department has a key responsibility for corporate governance and ensuring accurate and fair financial statements and corporate reporting, both internally and externally (including internal audit, investor relations and general corporate reporting). The team is led by the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and works to support the delivery of the business plan. Job purpose Financial control & Reporting from a headquarter perspective of Vehicle Pricing/Options, Variable Marketing and Variable Dealer Margin. This person will work closely alongside the Aston Martin Pricing team, alongside regional finance in order to maximise revenue and contribution. Additional responsibilities include the business partnering of other commercial areas of AML, mainly the Valkyrie Aftermarket function, Service Plans and Extended Warranty. Key duties and responsibilities Working with the AML Pricing team to make timely updates to the Pricing system for any new models or updates Monitor, track and report on Global Variable Marketing spend against approval papers, and overall budget/forecast iterations Assisting with the VM quarterly HQ approval processes for regions, and consolidation of VM submissions Overall ownership of VDM payout files/reconciliations, supporting Sales Operations and regional consolidation/reporting Options analysis/reporting and overall ownership of per unit data into FP&A Overall ownership of Extended Warranty and Service Plans month end/reporting outputs Business Partner to the HQ Valkyrie Aftersales functions, and consolidation of Global Valkyrie Aftersales P&L., including KPI reporting on services and ensuring alignment across regional hubs. Lead month-end associated with the above tasks e.g., quarter-end and annual accounts activities (period-end accounting close, forecasting, accruals, annual audit) for both internal and external reporting requirements Work closely with wider HQ finance and regional teams to develop cash and profit improvement plans to correct deviation to budgets. Ensure all financial risks and opportunities are documented clearly providing transparency to the Senior Management team. Drive the delivery of opportunities and support risk mitigation activities Provide financial evaluations to support decision making and other ad hoc analysis Experience and Qualifications Essential experience Candidates should have a proven track record of a broad financial and interpersonal skill set with strong communication skills and a proactive approach to problem solving. Strong excel and other desktop skills. Preferred experience Automotive Experience. Previous experience within a financial analysis function desirable. Preferred education/ qualifications Educated to degree level (2:1 minimum). Part-Qualified ACA / CIMA / ACCA, or competency through relevant experience. Additional requirements Ability to work flexibly due to monthly, quarterly and annual deadlines to ensure the forecasts, budget and business plan are available for The Board on time.
