The Vacancy
Wates is seeking a Project Manager to join our Residential team in Cardiff, focusing on high-rise projects in the region.
Our Residential division is a developer-contractor involved in investing, developing, building, and selling quality affordable housing, often in partnership with Local Authorities, Registered Providers, and public bodies.
About the Role
Our Project Managers are vital to our operations. This role emphasizes providing visible leadership, strategic insight, and effective management to ensure the safe, profitable, and customer-satisfactory delivery of projects, while also developing a cohesive team.
As a Project Manager, your responsibilities will include:
1. Developing and controlling project budgets, including profit margins, preliminaries, and procurement costs, alongside implementing detailed schedules for monitoring and reporting progress.
2. Securing and managing resources efficiently to deliver projects effectively, ensuring successful completion within constraints.
3. Ensuring smooth project handovers, including supporting customers and end-users throughout the process.
