Duties
We have an exciting opportunity for a Territory Account Manager to join the successful Performance Materials business unit in the Univar Solutions sales team. This is an office-based role in a fast-moving and dynamic environment. The successful candidate will work with an agreed base of customers, proactively target new customers, collaborate with Sales & Product Management on core products, and ensure targeted growth in all areas.
Reporting to the Area Business Manager, your role will be to grow your territory by effectively cross-selling our product portfolio across various industries, increasing market share at existing customers, and acquiring new customers. This area offers growth potential in a diverse range of industries.
Key Responsibilities and Tasks
* Deliver sustainable growth in customer numbers and product penetration.
* Support and collaborate as part of the Performance Materials team.
* Ensure compliance with all company procedures and legal requirements.
* Promote our value proposition to all customers as a platform for growth.
* Drive growth through:
o Identifying new opportunities
o Converting target and spot pipelines
* Stay informed about industry and market trends.
* Provide business reports using tools like Salesforce.com and Q (Pricing Tool).
* Coordinate effectively with other business functions.
We Are Looking For
A self-motivated individual passionate about sales, capable of building strong internal and external relationships. Our product range supports sales in industries including Coatings, Adhesives, Sealants & Elastomers, Rubber & Plastics, and Lubricants & Metal Working Fluids in the UK. We offer products from global brands leading in these sectors.
You should demonstrate drive, passion, organization, and the ability to work across all organizational levels. Prioritize and multi-task effectively, take ownership, and act decisively. Strong interpersonal, communication, and commercial skills are essential, along with a proactive approach to engaging with customers.
You will develop relationships, influence customers and colleagues positively, and close sales. A strong business sense, ability to work at pace, and proven sales or commercial experience are required.
