This is a well-established contracts management and services business based in Greenwich, London. They design, build, and maintain the interior and technical systems of buildings with a focus on commercial properties, managing the end-to-end lifecycle of projects.
Due to continued growth, they are looking to hire a talented Accounts Assistant to join their finance team based. This position will be based full-time in office.
Role
Reporting into the Finance Manager, the Accounts Assistant will take ownership of supporting day to day accounting and month-end procedures. Their key duties will involve:
1. Matching payments daily to invoices & posting journals to P&L or Balance Sheet via NetSuite.
2. Preparation of ad hoc payment transfers, outside of regular payment runs.
3. Data entry through NetSuite including entering purchase invoices.
4. Reconcile credit card statements monthly, ensuring all payments are backed up with receipts.
5. Assisting with month end task and processes, including the posting of prepayment journals.
6. Assisting with the preparation of the management accounting packs.
7. Assisting with year-end audit processes.
8. Ensure all direct debit related invoices have been received and processed for the month.
9. Support on ad hoc tasks & projects with the Finance Manager
Profile
The ideal profile for this Accounts Assistant position based in south east London, should have the following attributes:
10. 2+ years of experience within a similar Accounts Assistant / Finance Assistant role.
11. Actively studying towards AAT qualification (or similar)
12. Great double-entry knowledge and understanding (debits and credits).
13. Experience in owning AP and AR processes.
14. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
15. Advanced Excel skills
16. Experience using NetSuite is advantageous.

£35,000 - £40,000 + additional benefits including:
