About the Company
We are a well-established Manchester-based construction company with an annual turnover of approximately £40 million, delivering high-quality new build and refurbishment projects across the office, education, commercial and NHS sectors. Known for our collaborative culture and consistent delivery, we pride ourselves on building long-term relationships with clients, consultants and supply chain partners.
Due to continued growth, we are looking to appoint an experienced Quantity Surveyor to take full commercial responsibility for projects from pre-construction through to final account.
The Role
As Quantity Surveyor, you will manage multiple projects cradle to grave, taking ownership of all commercial aspects and working closely with project teams, clients and subcontractors to ensure successful delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
* Full commercial management of projects from tender stage through to final account
* Preparation and management of cost plans, budgets and forecasts
* Procurement of subcontract packages and supply chain management
* Measurement, valuations and variations management
* Interim valuations, applications for payment and cash flow management
* Cost reporting and commercial risk management
* Final account negotiation and agreement
* Liaison with clients, consultants and internal delivery teams
* Supporting pre-construction and tender processes where required
About You
* Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the construction industry
* Experience delivering new build and refurbishment projects
* Sector experience in office, education, commercial xsngvjr or NHS projects preferred
* Strong understanding of commercial and contractual matters
* Able to manage projects independently from start to finish
* Confident communicator with strong negotiation skills
* Organised, commercially astute and solutions-focused
