We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and motivated Clinical Physiologist/Scientist to join our team based in the Department of GI Physiology, Pelvic Floor Services and Research at The Churchill Hospital in Oxford.

It is essential that the person is enthusiastic, motivated and passionate about providing high quality, safe, patient centred care. Good communication skills are essential as is the ability to work autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team. The clinical team consists of Specialist Nurses, an Assistant Practitioner and Clinical Scientist, all of which are supported by administrative staff, to provide a high quality and seamless service to patients.

The service delivers a range of upper and lower procedures including upper and lower high resolution manometry, ambulatory pH/impedance studies, anorectal physiology, endoanal ultrasound scanning, rectal irrigation, pelvic floor retraining, temporary and permanent sacral nerve stimulation.

Your primary role will be to deliver a range of upper and lower GI physiological investigations. You will also help to co-ordinate and support further development of the GI Physiology service.

Ideally you have proven experience in this field, are eligible to become an Independent Healthcare Practitioner with the Association of GI Physiologists, and will be eligible for state registration with the Registration Council for Clinical Physiologists (RCCP) or the Healthcare Professions Council (HCPC).

The post holder will be required to work flexible hours which may include evenings and some Saturdays in the future
