Overview
Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner (BCLP) is seeking a Lateral Partner Recruitment Assistant to join the team in Southampton, United Kingdom. The role involves performing all administrative tasks relevant to implementing the processes for lateral partner hiring. You will interact with Firm Leadership Team, Partners, Practice Group Leaders, Sector Leaders, Office Managing Partners, General Counsel’s office, the Finance Group, and other groups as needed. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone enthusiastic with excellent organisational skills, either as a first step on the recruitment career ladder or with some pre-existing recruitment experience (in-house or agency).
Responsibilities
* Provide overall administrative organization of the firm’s lateral partner recruitment activity.
* Enter and continually monitor and update all details of lateral partner candidates in the viRecruit system, from initial data entry through to closing of candidacies.
* Track the status of candidates in the pipeline, including individual candidates, teams, and large-scale growth opportunities under consideration.
* Coordinate logistics and oversee in-person and virtual interview schedules; arrange meetings across multiple time zones.
* Interact with partner candidates, firm partners and staff to arrange interviews and travel, including arranging travel and accommodation for candidates.
* Process reimbursements for travel and other expenses incurred by candidates and the Lateral Hiring Team.
* Gather feedback from interviews and ensure a positive candidate experience throughout the recruitment process.
* Collate and track diversity monitoring statistics.
* Create and track lateral partner fee agreements as directed, or with search firms as appropriate.
* Assist with due diligence processes for lateral candidates, including conflicts of interest.
* Generate correspondence related to the recruiting process and assist with preparation of materials for candidate consideration by the Board.
* Support the Lateral Hiring Team to implement smooth integration and onboarding for new partner hires.
* Perform other duties as required.
Qualifications and Skills
* Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail; prior knowledge of recruitment tools and ATS is advantageous.
* Effective written and oral communication skills with senior colleagues of the Firm.
* Ability to work effectively with department members, lawyers and other law firm professionals.
* Ability to manage and adapt to changing and competing priorities.
* Results-oriented with a strong sense of confidentiality for all candidate, internal, and personnel affairs.
* Ability to professionally represent and promote the Firm.
