Our Client, an SME business in the construction sector in Leicester – is seeking to recruit an experienced Accountant on a full-time permanent basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for:
* Maintaining fixed-asset register including additions & disposals, preparation & posting of monthly depreciation & agreeing to P&L / balance sheet,
* Agree monthly payroll nominal report & post journal,
* Month-end reporting, assisting the Management team in preparation of statutory accounts & audit packs for a range of businesses.
* Assisting with monthly P&L reviews, budgets & forecasts,
* Assisting with preparing detailed monthly P&L & balance sheet reports,
* Preparation of cashflow statements & controlling expenditure / cash flow for various companies
* Management of credit limits.
The Right Person
* Qualified or Part-Qualified ACCA, CIMA, AAT or Qualified By Experience,
* Possess demonstrable experience in accounts preparation together with knowledge of VAT rules,
* Advanced knowledge of Sage 50 would be an advantage,
* Knowledge of Payroll & CIS would be advantageous,
* Effective communication skills, confident in presenting financial information to senior management,
* Numerate, analytical with attention to detail,
* Excellent planning, organisation and the ability to achieve deadlines.
