FULL TIME, FLEXIBLE OR PART‑TIME APPOINTMENT
DR GRAY’S HOSPITAL, ELGIN
NHS Grampian is delighted at the prospect of expanding the Anaesthetic Department at Dr Gray’s Hospital in Elgin, Scotland. These posts will be based at Dr Gray’s Hospital. Individualised job planning can be tailored to the requirements of both service and applicants; this could include flexible/part‑time/annualised work patterns. Dr Gray’s Hospital is a District General Hospital situated in Elgin in the North‑East of Scotland. Inverness lies 35 miles to the West, with Aberdeen 65 miles to the East.
The Scottish Government has committed to re‑establish a Consultant‑led Obstetric service in the hospital. This will include establishment of a new resident non‑consultant rota tier and expansion of the existing Consultant team to at least 12 Whole Time Equivalent in order to meet the Royal College of Anaesthetists Obstetric Anaesthesia requirements.
* Develop and implement a joint job plan to meet the needs of both service and successful applicant.
* Be fully involved in local and regional management activities.
* Participate in departmental and national management opportunities, ranging from departmental level up to national level.
* Support and mentor international applicants working in the NHS for the first time.
Applications from experienced overseas candidates who have not previously worked in the NHS are encouraged.
* Full registration with the GMC and licence to practise prior to starting in post.
