We are actively seeking compassionate and highly skilled individuals to transfer their expertise from the Care sector into a vital Support Role within a local secondary school, working with students aged 11-16 (Key Stage 3 & 4). This is a unique opportunity to use your core strengths-Empathy, Resilience, Behaviour Management, and Safeguarding knowledge-to directly support vulnerable young people and help them thrive academically and emotionally. You Transferable Skills in Action We are looking for individuals who can confidently apply their care experience in a secondary school environment: Care Skill (Transferable)Application in School Resilience & Calm Under PressureManaging and de-escalating challenging behaviour effectively. Empathy & Emotional IntelligenceBuilding trusting relationships with students who have barriers to learning. Safeguarding & AdvocacyUnderstanding and adhering to school safeguarding policies; acting as an advocate for student needs. Personal Support & EncouragementMentoring students on organisation, attendance, and positive self-management. Essential Criteria Previous professional experience as a Care Worker, Support Worker, Residential Worker, or Youth Worker. Experience working with adolescents or young adults (ideally 11-16 years old). A strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
