We are seeking a compassionate, patient, and dedicated SEN 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a child in Year 3 with additional learning needs. Salary: £13.75 - £14.50 per hour
Start Date: Monday 3rd November 2025
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide 1:1 support to a child with Special Educational Needs (SEN), both in and out of the classroom.
* Implement strategies outlined in the child’s Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP).
* Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to adapt learning materials and activities.
* Foster a positive, encouraging, and safe learning environment.
* Monitor and record progress, contributing to regular reviews and planning meetings.
* Support the child’s social and emotional development.
You will need:
* Experience working with children with SEN, particularly in a primary school setting.
* A calm, empathetic, and flexible approach to supporting learning and behaviour.
* Strong communication skills and the ability to build trusting relationships.
* A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
* Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant, SEN training) – desirable but not essential.
