Garland House Surgery is looking to recruit a Salaried GP to join our friendly and supportive team.

Main duties of the job

Deliver safe, effective, and evidence-based care to our diverse patient community.
Provide consultations through a mix of telephone, online, and face-to-face appointments.
Contribute to achieving practice priorities such as QOF, Enhanced Services, and local health initiatives.
Take part in clinical meetings, audits, and ongoing learning sessions.
Maintain clear, accurate, and up-to-date clinical records.
Work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team, including ACPs, Practice Nurses, HCAs, and PCN staff.
As a teaching practice, support the learning and development of medical students and GP registrars by participating in supervision and teaching activities.

We are a long-established and highly regarded training practice, operating from modern premises in Darfield and Wath Upon Dearne. Both sites benefit from excellent transport links, situated just 1015 minutes from the M1 and A1.
With a patient list size of over 11,000, we are a forward-thinking, total triage practice offering 15-minute GP appointments to ensure high-quality, accessible care.
Our experienced and supportive clinical team includes 6 GP partners, a Practice Nurse, 2 Healthcare Assistants, and a Nurse Associate. This is complemented by a wider multidisciplinary team comprising clinical pharmacists and a Health & Wellbeing Coach.
Alongside our clinical staff, we are proud to have a dedicated and highly efficient administrative team, including 2 Care Navigators, 2 Administrative Assistants, a Care Coordinator, and 8 Receptionists, all working collaboratively to deliver excellent patient care and service.
Job responsibilities
Working as agreed within the practice timetable.
Managing long-term conditions and providing safe, effective care.
Prescribing in line with local and national guidance.
Completing administrative tasks promptly, including referrals, repeat prescriptions, and other associated duties.
Maintaining accurate, up-to-date clinical records.
Collaborating with the team and sharing the practice workload.
Supporting QOF requirements and recording information accurately.
Offering health promotion advice where appropriate.
Attending and contributing to practice meetings, clinical governance, audits, and training.
Teaching and supervising medical students and GP registrars.
Participating in appraisal, revalidation, and continuous professional development.
Upholding practice protocols, policies, and strategic aims, while fostering a culture of teamwork and professional growth.
Person Specification
Qualifications
* Full GMC registration
* Inclusion on the NHS England performers list
* MRCGP (or equivalent)
* Evidence of continued professional development
* Working with Emis web
