We’re currently recruiting on behalf of our client for a highly organised and proactive Transport Administrator to join their dynamic team.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone with strong administration skills and a keen eye for detail who enjoys working in a fast-paced transport environment. You’ll play a vital role in ensuring the smooth running of daily transport operations while maintaining compliance and delivering excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities
Brief and debrief drivers using systems such as TMS, Verilocation, Tachomaster, Odyssey, and FleetCheck, ensuring all paperwork is accurate and signed.
Resolve delivery and collection issues promptly, providing support to drivers throughout their routes.
Deliver excellent customer service across all communication channels.
Ensure compliance with DVSA and Health & Safety regulations, managing inspections, MOTs, servicing, and incident reporting.
Support daily transport operations, including TMS maintenance, booking deliveries, managing temperature deviations, cross-dock activity, on-road cover, and team engagement.
What It Takes to Thrive as a Transport Administrator
Excellent communication, multitasking, and prioritisation skills, with the ability to perform under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Solid understanding of driver hours regulations and Health & Safety standards to ensure operational compliance.
Strong customer service focus, with a genuine commitment to understanding and meeting customer needs.
Proficient in administration and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) with exceptional attention to detail.
Professional, reliable, and punctual, with a strong sense of accountability and work ethic.
Confident operating an FLT (licence desirable – training available).
