The role
Finance Officer (Temporary) Southend-on-Sea, Essex Competitive hourly rate (depending on experience) Temporary Assignment | Immediate Start
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Finance Officer to join a busy and supportive organisation based in Southend-on-Sea on a temporary basis. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is immediately available and able to hit the ground running.
Key Responsibilities:
- Processing purchase and sales ledger transactions
- Reconciling bank statements and balance sheet accounts
- Assisting with month-end procedures
- Managing supplier payments and resolving queries
- Supporting credit control activities
- Maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance
- Assisting with budgeting and reporting where required
- General finance administration and ad-hoc duties
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a Finance Officer or similar finance role
- Strong understanding of core accounting processes
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Good working knowledge of Excel and finance systems
- Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
- Must be immediately available or available at short notice
