Key Responsibilities
Team Support & Leadership
* Act as a senior member of the team, supporting objectives, timelines, and the development and training of team staff.
* Provide advice and support to colleagues, faculties, services, and customers, both verbally and in writing.
* Build and maintain effective working relationships across faculties and services through active networking.
Systems Administration & Technical Support
* Oversee the installation, testing, and ongoing development of leisure management software, producing reports for the sport management team.
* Provide first‑line support and troubleshooting expertise for leisure management system issues and user queries.
* Manage and oversee customer data and access within sport systems, ensuring compliance with data protection legislation and recognised good practice.
* Create training guides, documentation, and procedures for staff using the leisure management system, and deliver training to optimise system usage and functionality.
Financial & Administrative Support
* Provide financial administrative support, maintaining accurate documentation and producing reports on financial transactions.
* Analyse, manipulate, and interpret financial and operational data to produce detailed reports.
* Oversee the administration of consultancy recruitment for sports coaches and instructors, supporting induction and training processes.
Process Improvement & Compliance
* Lead small‑scale process improvement projects, reviewing current processes and implementing change plans.
* Promote and uphold the University’s equal opportunities policy.
* Apply the University’s sustainability principles and values in daily work, supporting the goals set out in Strategy 2030.
* Take reasonable care of your own health and safety and comply with relevant guidance.
* Undertake any other reasonable duties within the scope of the role as allocated by the line manager.
What You’ll Bring
* Degree or equivalent experience, plus evidence of ongoing professional development.
* Experience with leisure software systems and strong IT skills (including Excel).
* Confident handling complex data, producing reports, and managing small projects.
* Experience delivering training on systems, policies, or procedures.
* A collaborative mindset, strong communication skills, and a commitment to excellent service.

This is a part‑time, permanent post, working 22.5 hours per week. This post is not available on a job share basis as the position is not suitable for the business and requires continuity. Interviews are scheduled to take place on Monday 20th April.
UWE Bristol is a campus‑based University and it is vital to our success and the delivery of an outstanding experience for our students that our campuses are dynamic and vibrant places to learn and spend time. This role is therefore campus based for all of your time. The University’s normal practice is that new appointments will be made at the starting point of the grade.
