Balmoral Group Holdings Ltd has a new vacancy for a Group Marketing and Communications Lead reporting to the Group Marketing and Communications Manager. The role is based Balmoral Park, Aberdeen.
The Group Marketing and Communications Lead will be responsible for delivering high-quality content to support public relations and media engagement across the Group. The role will provide strategic communications expertise and hands-on support to all Group business units, ensuring alignment and consistency in messaging.
Key responsibilities include arranging and supporting media interviews, coordinating conference participation, and monitoring media coverage. The postholder will also support crisis communications activity to help protect and enhance the Group's reputation.
The role will oversee the planning and management of exhibitions, corporate events, and facility visits, as well as coordinate industry award submissions. They will lead Group social media activity and support the development and delivery of integrated marketing campaigns aligned to both Group and divisional business strategies, including digital marketing initiatives. In addition, the Group Marketing and Communications Lead will work closely with divisional marketing teams, including Marcliffe Hotel, to support campaign planning, delivery, and execution, ensuring best practice, efficiency, and measurable impact across the organisation. Furthermore, the department provides marketing and communications support to the Friends of ANCHOR charity, assisting with its promotional and engagement requirements.
Main Duties And Responsibilities
Manage and provide communications service to Group business units
Arrange and support media interviews, conferences and monitor coverage
Prepare editorial material, accepting briefs as required
Supporting media, charity and donation enquiries
Support crisis communications planning and delivery to protect Group reputation
Manage exhibitions, corporate events, facility visits, etc
Coordinate and prepare submissions for industry awards
Lead social media activity across all divisions
Oversee preparation of multi-discipline marketing materials
Preparing monthly reports with supporting metrics to ensure performance and quality control of web and social media content
Department administration management and workload prioritisation
Manage and support the Digital Marketing Assistant at Marcliffe in campaign planning, delivery, and execution
Qualifications And Experience
Degree (or equivalent experience) in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field
Strong track record in PR, media relations, and content creation
Demonstrable experience in a senior marketing or communications role
Crisis communications or media training certification
Digital marketing qualifications
Event and exhibition management experience
Ability to analyse and identify marketing trends and make recommendations
Highly organised with attention to detail
Self-motivated and eager to develop
Strong working knowledge of digital and social media platforms
