Area Operations Manager - North East
Salary from £60,000 per annum, plus car allowance
We are looking for a passionate, people-focused, and guest-obsessed Area Operations Manager to join our team at Marston's and help us achieve our ambition to be the UK's number 1 pub company.
Supporting our GMs & Partners to maximize their pub business opportunities, you will oversee an area of 18 pubs, including 'Managed Pubs' and Partnership agreements covering the North East & North Yorkshire, including Newcastle, Middlesborough, Northallerton & Whitby. This role reports to a Regional Operations Manager within our North Division.

You will have full P&L responsibility, focusing on driving sales, guest experience, and achieving key KPIs—both financial and people-oriented.
* You’ll be passionate about developing General Managers and Self-Employed Pub Partners, enabling them to reach their potential and grow sales. A team player.
* You’ll have a strong commercial mindset, keen to maximize profit opportunities and support your team’s success.
* You’ll add value in meetings, manage your time effectively, and seize opportunities.
* You demonstrate pace, urgency, and networking skills, especially in recruitment. Energy and a ‘can do’ attitude are essential.
* You know how to deliver excellent guest experiences through high standards of service.
* You can work cross-functionally with departments like Marketing, Finance, Recruitment, HR, etc.
* If you enjoy projects, you can participate in working groups to share ideas and develop your skills.
