Job Description:
Were seeking a Production/Manufacturing Engineer to join our high-performance Manufacturing Team, delivering precision components in a fast-paced environment.
Our operations span two advanced manufacturing facilities in Northampton, featuring 3, 4, and 5-axis CNC machines, mill-turns, lathes and grinders supported by automation for complex, high-precision production. With internal design, build, and test, all processes are fully integrated through Siemens NX and Teamcenter, ensuring seamless collaboration from concept to completion.
The Role:
* Develop & optimise multi-axis CNC programs using CAM.
* Design and implement production fixturing.
* Take ownership of manufacturing processes from concept to production.
* Support new product introduction, tooling, and process development.
* Support shopfloor staff, driving continuous improvement.
* Estimate production times and costs, managing BOMs.
* Consider the health and safety, environmental and energy impact of all activities.
* Support the Companys compliance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018 by following company policy and best practice.
Candidate Profile:
* Strong CAM programming experience (ideally Siemens NX).
* Background in automotive, motorsport, aerospace or precision engineering.
* Previous experience as a Manufacturing Engineer, CAM Programmer, or Production Engineer.
* Experience in fixture design.
* Strong understanding of GD&T.
* Apprentice-trained (HNC, HND or Bachelors degree).
* Hands-on problem solver, comfortable in a fast-paced environment.
* Teamcenter, Vericut, or SAP experience is a plus.
