Medical Director – Oncology Innovation & Pipeline Strategy

We are working closely with a global biopharmaceutical company to recruit a Medical Director within their oncology strategy group. This role supports the evaluation of mid-to-late stage external assets and contributes to the advancement of their therapeutic area strategy, with a specific focus on pre-launch readiness and Medical Affairs integration.
Key Responsibilities
* Serve as the medical/scientific referent in evaluations of oncology assets across the pipeline
* Lead the creation of Target Product Profiles (TPPs) and contribute to asset due diligence
* Collaborate cross-functionally across R&D, Innovation, Medical Affairs, and Commercial
* Conduct deep scientific analysis and disease area landscaping
* Support early commercialisation strategy and Medical Affairs planning
* Present findings and strategic insights to internal leadership and deal boards
Candidate Profile
* PhD preferred; MD acceptable
* Strong Medical Affairs experience with a focus on pre-launch activities
* Expertise in oncology – both solid and liquid tumour backgrounds welcomed
* Track record of delivering in cross-functional, strategic roles
* Experience with external asset evaluation or BD is a plus
* Confident communicator with senior stakeholder presentation skills
