An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Safety & Reliability Engineer to join our team within the Civil Aerospace division in Derby.

In this role, you will assess and influence the safety & reliability attributes of our Civil Aerospace engine products throughout their lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities
* Evaluate propulsion system safety using techniques like FMECA, Fault Tree, and Event Tree analysis.
* Perform numerical analysis of in-service products using probabilistic and statistical data.
* Analyze risks related to human/system interaction, including Human Reliability Assessment.
* Investigate failed components and determine root causes.
* Incorporate lessons learned from service findings into future designs.
* Assist in building safety cases for new engine programs.
* Support decision-making through sound engineering and numerical reasoning.
* Implement the Safety Management System and participate in Product Safety Review Boards.
* Explore new capabilities in Safety & Reliability.
Candidate Profile
* Degree in a STEM field (Mechanical, Aeronautical, etc.) with relevant engineering experience.
* Strong problem-solving skills and analytical mindset.
* Familiarity with gas turbine engine design, operation, and environment.
* Knowledge of Safety & Reliability engineering techniques, including numerical analysis.
