The Role
The school is seeking to appoint a committed, knowledgeable, and adaptable Business Studies Teacher to join its established teaching team from September. This role offers an opportunity to deliver a broad and engaging Business Studies curriculum to secondary-aged students with diverse learning profiles.

The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, delivering, and evaluating high-quality lessons that are appropriately differentiated to meet a range of needs. The role requires a reflective practitioner who can employ creative and flexible teaching strategies to engage students, promote independence, and support the development of essential life and employability skills.

Key Responsibilities

* Plan, prepare, and deliver well-structured and differentiated Business Studies lessons in line with curriculum requirements

* Adapt schemes of work and teaching resources to meet the individual needs of students with SEND

* Assess, record, and report on student progress in accordance with school policies

* Set clear learning objectives and provide constructive feedback to support student achievement

* Foster a positive, inclusive, and safe classroom environment conducive to learning

* Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and other professionals to support student outcomes

* Contribute to annual reviews, EHCP targets, and wider school reporting processes where appropriate

* Support students’ personal development, including the development of social, emotional, and employability skills

* Uphold safeguarding responsibilities and promote the welfare of all students

Person Specification

Essential:

* Experience teaching Business Studies at secondary level

* Strong classroom management skills and the ability to engage and motivate learners with diverse needs

* Excellent organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills

* A commitment to inclusive education and supporting students with SEND

Desirable:

* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent

* Experience working within a SEND or alternative provision setting

* Knowledge of EHCP processes and personalised learning approaches
