The School and Role
This specialist SEMH school in Birmingham is looking to appoint a dedicated Pastoral Officer to support pupils aged 6–16 with social, emotional and mental health needs. Kitts Green Academy is a purpose-built special school with small class sizes and high staffing ratios. The successful candidate will support behaviour management, family engagement, safeguarding and pupil wellbeing, helping to remove barriers to learning and promote positive outcomes for all learners.
Requirements
The desired Pastoral Officer will have;
1. Experience working with children or young people
2. Experience supporting behaviour and emotional wellbeing
3. Knowledge of safeguarding procedures
4. Strong communication and relationship-building skills
5. Ability to work effectively with families and external agencies
