Your new role
The Factoring Services Manager will be responsible for delivering an efficient, customer‑centred factoring service for homeowners and mixed‑tenure properties. The role requires oversight of operational delivery, legislativepliance, financial management, and customer service excellence.This is a key leadership position requiring excellent organisational skills, strong knowledge of factoring legislation, and amitment to delivering high‑quality property management services.
Key Responsibilities
1. Lead and manage the factoring service to ensurepliance with legal, regulatory, and organisational standards
2. Oversee inspections, repairs, maintenance, and planned works across factored properties
3. Manage homeownermunications and deliver high‑quality customer service
4. Handle factoring accounts, including invoicing, debt recovery, and budgeting
5. Develop strong working relationships with contractors, internal departments, and external partners
6. Ensure fullpliance with the Code of Conduct for Property Factors
7. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance service quality and customer satisfaction
8. Provide leadership, guidance, and support to the factoring team
9. Prepare reports and performance updates for senior management
What you'll need to succeed
10. Experience in factoring, property management, or a similar housing service
11. Strong understanding of the Property Factors (Scotland) Act and associated regulations
12. Excellentmunication and customer service skills
13. Financial literacy, including experience with invoicing and debt management
14. Leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team
15. Strong organisational and problem‑solving abilities
16. A proactive, improvement‑focused mindset
A qualification in housing, property, or a related discipline is desirable but not essential.
