Historicallytheaccounts/bookkeepingdutieshavebeencoveredbythemanagingdirectorsPA,howeverasthecompanyhasgrown,theyhavebecomeincreasinglystretched. Theplanistohireaspecificmanagementaccountantwhocanrelivethemoftheiraccountingdutiessothattheycanmovebackintoanofficemanagementcapacity.
Theroleholderwillreportintothemanagingdirectorandwillbesolelyresponsibleforaccountingfunction. Asthecompanygrows,thispositionwilldoaswellandcouldultimatelyresultinadirectoroffinancerole.
TheResponsibilities
Thepurposeofthisroleistoproviderobustfinancialinformationtothemanagementteamforcommercialdecisionmaking. Inadditiontothis,wearelookingforanindividualtoensurethatallaspectsofthefinancefunctionarecompletedfrompayables,receivables,payrolltomonthendreporting,managementaccountspreparationandcashflowforecasting.
Onaday-to-daybasisyoucanexpecttoberesponsibleforthefollowing;
Fullcontrolandownershipofthegeneralledger,ensuringthatinvoicesareprocessedandpaidwithinagreedsupplierterms.
Ownershipofthemonthlypayrollensuringthatallrelevantdocumentationisprocessedandemployeesarepaidontime.
Leadthefinancialplanningwithinthebusiness.
Preparationofmonthlymanagementaccounts/managementreports.
Workcloselywiththemanagingdirectorinthefinancialplanningaroundspecificgrowthplans/providecommercialdecisionsupport.
Managementofbudgets,costsandgeneralcashflow.
TheRequirements
WearelookingforanenthusiasticandproactiveaccountantwhowillbeeitherCIMAorACCAqualifiedorpartqualified. TheenvironmentisruralwithinPerthshiresocandidateswillneedtodriveandhaveaccesstoavehicle. Theculturewithinthebusinessisakintoafamilyfeelandallemployeesworkhardandarehandsomelyrewarded. Thebusinesshaveboughtlandrecentlyandareplanningtophysicallyexpandthebusiness. Assuchwewouldbekeentoseeapplicantswhocanshowcasefinancialcontrolscompetencies. TheERPusedisXerosopriorexperiencewiththesoftwarewouldbeadvantageous. AdvancedExcelreportingskillsarealsobeneficial.
