We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Lecturer in Social Work to join our dedicated Education & Social Care Department.
The successful applicant will teach across social work education modules on our BA (Hons) Social Work Degree Course. They will also take on a pastoral role for a year group.
We welcome applications from industry professionals looking to move to a career in Education.
This is a part-time role working 28 hours per week.

Responsibilities include:
1. To teach courses specified by the Departmental Leadership Team.
2. To participate actively in curriculum development, and, where appropriate, in cross-college marketing activities.
3. To assess the work and progress of all students and provide them with constructive and timely feedback.
4. To seek ways of improving student performance by reflecting on teaching design and delivery, and obtaining and analysing feedback.
5. To develop and apply innovative approaches to improving the learning environment, teaching and/or assessment and feedback methods
6. Engage in professional development relating to teaching, learning and assessment, including the use of an evidence-informed approach, which utilises the outcomes of scholarship to enhance teaching practice.
7. To participate actively in the enrolment, induction, monitoring, profiling and initial assessment of students or trainees.
8. To devise individual learning plans and provide support for learners in line with the requirements of the course.
9. To be responsible to the Head of Department for student discipline, counselling and guidance for all assigned classes.
10. To be responsible for the supervision and management of students on placements, off-site visits and activities where appropriate.
11. To proactively contribute to the success and vision of the department
12. To undertake programme leadership duties as specified by your line manager or the Head of Department
