We are seeking an experienced Management Information Systems (MIS) Manager to lead our Management Information team, ensuring accurate data collection, reporting, analysis, compliance and funding compliance across the Adult Learning, Employment & Skills Service contracts.
You will manage and develop our MI system (ProSolution), using SQL, Excel, and Power BI to produce robust reports and dashboards to support service performance, strategic planning, and quality improvement. You must have experience of overseeing funding returns, including the Individualised Learner Record (ILR) and the annual FE Workforce Data Return, ensuring compliance with DfE and MCA regulations.
As an experienced manager, you will lead a small MIS team, providing coaching, training, and development to maintain high standards of data accuracy and operational efficiency. You will work collaboratively with curriculum teams, senior managers, and HR, maintaining participant and staff records, in line with Data Protection requirements. You will also be responsible for managing curriculum timetables, ensuring learner enrolments, scheduling, and reporting are accurately reflected in the MIS.
The role requires strong analytical skills, advanced Excel proficiency, and the ability to translate complex data into actionable reports. Awareness of funding processes is essential, as the post may involve supporting budgeted funding returns.
This is a full-time position, based at one of our learning centres in Derby, with a requirement for flexibility to travel and work across sites throughout the city as needed. Working hours are Monday–Friday to with occasional additional hours during peak reporting periods, such as the ILR close in mid-October.
