Heat Networks Manager
Hybrid working; based at One Strawberry Lane, Newcastle City Centre, with home working and across our national property portfolio.
Permanent, full-time (37.5 hpw)
Circa £55,000 per annum plus benefits including health cash plan.
Join us as a Heat Networks Manager
Support us in delivering efficient and affordable heating for our customers. As one of the UK's largest housing associations, managing Heat Networks and energy use effectively is key to our sustainability. We need your expertise!
Manage our housing and commercial Heat Networks across England and Scotland, monitor performance, and assess impacts on customer bills. Collaborate with Paul, our Lead Sustainability Manager, to develop a new Heat Network management approach, guiding metering, billing, and efficiency improvements.
Typical responsibilities
1. Manage our Heat Network portfolio, ensuring compliance with regulations, and staying ahead of legislative changes.
2. Develop and maintain our internal Heat Network database for centralized management and reporting.
3. Complete regulatory reports, performance data, and support retrofit projects.
4. Lead projects to improve thermal efficiency and heat performance, influencing stakeholders and customers.
5. Supervise our Heat Networks Coordinator to deliver our programme effectively and foster a positive team environment.

You bring
* Project management qualification or equivalent experience with heat networks.
* Experience with heating/billing systems, efficiency metrics, carbon data, and working with consultants.
* Ability to influence various stakeholders, including government, consultants, leadership, colleagues, and customers.
* Experience managing project finances and grants.
* Strong analytical skills with large datasets and report presentation experience.
* Attention to detail, self-motivation, and empathy for customer needs.
