This is a senior, partner‑facing Business Development role, ideal for an experienced professional services BD leader with strong law‑firm experience.
The successful candidate will act as a trusted advisor to international partners, helping shape market strategy, drive structured business development activity, and support revenue growth across multiple practice areas.

Key Responsibilities 📋
📊 Strategy & Partner Advisory
• Work closely with international partners and leadership to develop and implement market and business development strategies
• Advise partners on BD priorities, client targeting, and go‑to‑market initiatives
• Translate practice and office business plans into actionable BD activity
📝 Pitches, Proposals & Profile Raising
• Lead the preparation of client pitches, proposals and formal RFPs
• Support development of compelling value propositions and win themes
• Contribute to legal directory submissions and rankings
🔍 Client & Market Intelligence
• Conduct client, market and competitive research to support BD initiatives
• Monitor industry trends impacting clients and international markets
• Identify conferences, sponsorships, speaking opportunities and client events
📣 Marketing & Communications
• Collaborate with Marketing and Communications teams on:
• Website and intranet content
• Practice and office collateral
• Attorney biographies and profiles
• Thought leadership and client communications
🎯 Events, Campaigns & Operations
• Manage international client events and sponsorships from planning to execution
• Support BD processes, infrastructure, and experience databases
• Contribute to practice budgeting from a BD and marketing perspective
🤝 Leadership & Collaboration
• Work closely with BD, Practice Management, Operations and other support teams
• Manage and mentor a direct report within the Business Development team
• Actively participate in firmwide initiatives and cross‑office projects
Candidate Profile 🎯
📌 Experience
• 7+ years’ experience in business development or marketing within a law firm or professional services environment
• Proven experience supporting senior stakeholders in a partnership model
• Exposure to international offices and multi‑practice environments

• Excellent writing, editing and presentation skills
• Strong project management and organisational capability
• Confidence advising and influencing Partners and senior leaders
