Job Description The role of Remediation Officer is responsible for overseeing the Assessment and Remediation element of the Compliance & Audit function by monitoring and reporting on the compliance of key building elements. Key responsibilities and tasks include: Lead the implementation of Trinity Property Group’s building-safety and remediation strategy, ensuring compliance with all relevant fire and building safety legislation. Oversee assessment, procurement, and delivery of major remediation projects, including cladding, fire doors, compartmentation, and life-safety systems. Interpret and apply requirements of the Building Safety Act 2022, Fire Safety Acts, and standards such as PAS 9980, advising on legislative and regulatory impacts. Manage project teams, funding, and stakeholder relationships across government- and developer-funded remediation schemes. Review inspection data, risk assessments, and contractor reports to identify trends, drive improvements, and ensure accurate risk management. Act as primary liaison with Fire and Rescue Services, coordinating responses to enforcement notices and supporting post-incident reviews. Develop and maintain internal policies, procedures, and training to embed compliance and building-safety awareness across teams. Provide technical support on FRAEWs, fire risk assessments, and defect management, mentoring junior staff and supporting property managers. Qualifications And Skills Candidates for this position should have the following skills and qualifications: Proven experience in fire safety compliance and large-scale remediation projects within residential block management. Strong understanding of building and fire safety legislation, with the ability to interpret and summarise complex technical reports (FRA, FRAEW, fire door surveys). Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, confident in engaging with regulatory bodies and chairing multidisciplinary meetings. Competent in data analysis and reporting, particularly using Microsoft Excel. Relevant qualifications: Minimum A-Level education with GCSEs in English and Maths; desirable degree-level education or membership of a professional body (IRPM, CIOB, IFSM, RICS). Desirable: Knowledge of PAS 79/PAS 9980, experience with fire risk assessments, government funding portals, or mentoring colleagues. Full UK driving licence.
