Join Us as a SEN / SEND Tutor in South Yorkshire!

We are excited to announce multiple openings for passionate tutors in Maths, English, or Science to support young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and Disabilities (SEND)!

At Targeted Provision, we are on a mission to revolutionize education for children with diverse needs, including those with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) challenges, as well as Moderate (MLD) and Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD). As part of our dedicated team, you will be supported by SEN / SEND Support Specialists throughout every placement, ensuring that you have the resources and guidance needed to succeed.

Your Role as a SEN / SEND Tutor:

* Provide engaging tuition in Maths, English, or Science to young people with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, and other educational needs
* Support students referred by local authorities and schools in their educational and social-emotional journeys
* Deliver flexible, holistic, and trauma-informed tutoring and mentoring


Key Responsibilities:

* Plan and execute each tutoring session tailored to the individual needs of the student
* Create engaging and holistic learning experiences that promote educational and social-emotional growth
* Complete lesson reports and provide constructive feedback on student progress


Requirements to Join Our Team:

* Professional Teaching Qualifications (Qualified Teacher Status / QTS / QTLS)
* A minimum of 2 years teaching experience
* Experience working with young people with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, or other additional educational needs
* Knowledge of safeguarding processes
* Enhanced DBS (we can assist with obtaining this at cost if needed)
* Two professional references
* Must be based in the UK with the right to work, even for remote assignments

It is essential that you promote the health, safety, and wellbeing of children and young people while adhering to safeguarding policies at all times.


Employment Status:

* This position involves engaging with us as a Worker for short-term assignments as they arise
* You will work through a contract for service and be paid via PAYE
* No set amount of work or expenses coverage is provided
* Our insurance covers the work you do for us
* This is not a self-employed tutoring position
