Calling all compassionate and dedicated individuals! Mencap is seeking a passionate Support Worker to join our team in Trowbridge on a permanent part-time basis.
We operate a registered care home where five ladies with learning disabilities live and enjoy fulfilling lives.
As a Female Support Worker, you'll have the opportunity to make a real difference in their lives. Each individual has unique abilities and needs, and your role will be to support them in living the life they choose.
What we're looking for:
* A genuine passion for supporting others.
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to build meaningful relationships.
* Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
* A positive and empathetic attitude towards individuals with learning disabilities.
* The ability to reduce social isolation for people with learning disabilities.
* The ability to increase independence and confidence among individuals with learning disabilities.
* Enabling individuals to fully access their local communities.
Contract:
* Part-time, 30 hours per week.
All our services provide 24-hour care. We prepare rotas at least 4 weeks in advance, allowing you to plan your personal and social life!
* Shifts include days and weekends: 8am-6pm, 3pm-8pm, 11am-6pm, 7am-6pm, 12noon-10pm.
* Sleep-in shifts are compensated with an enhanced flat rate payment of £63.70.
*An enhanced DBS check is required for the successful candidate (paid for by Mencap, T&Cs apply).
