Summary
We are looking for enthusiastic and motivated Pharmacy Technicians with good communication and teamwork skills to carry out medicines management roles on wards and in departments within The Royal Oldham Hospital. Excellent organisational skills, the ability to work accurately and quickly under pressure, a keen eye for detail and a commitment to delivering high‑standard, patient‑focused service are essential.
Responsibilities
As a Pharmacy Technician you will
* Gain experience in all areas of ward‑based medicines management and dispensary services.
* Assist with clinical trials and mentor other staff.
* Record patient medication history and process discharges at ward and dispensary level.
* Work a 7‑day rotating pattern, including extended hours, late nights, weekends and bank holidays.
* Support the delivery of safe, reliable and compassionate pharmacy care.
Qualifications & Progression
Band 5 is the target level. Candidates who do not meet the experience/qualification requirements for Band 5 will be initially appointed to Band 4, with support to achieve the necessary qualifications for progression to Band 5.
