Who are Prospero Teaching and what do we stand for?

Most of these pupils will have been out of education for some time, so the confidence levels may be very low. It is your responsibility to reengage them in their learning and offer structure back into their daily routine. Prospero Teaching will work with you closely to monitor the progression with each pupil and support effective learning.
What roles are available?
* Tutoring: Providing bespoke 1:1 tuition in the family home and/or community to young people with SEN, complex health and behavioural needs. As a tutor with Prospero Teaching, you will have the opportunity to work flexibly; you can build a rota that suits you, whilst also having the amazing opportunity to make a meaningful difference to the lives of the children and young people. Tutoring is flexible, you can commit to as much or as little tuition work as you wish. Tutoring will usually be for core subjects (English and Math’s) but can sometimes include other subjects as the student requires. You will need to be able to complete a baseline assessment, and lesson plan independently.
Requirements:
* You need to have at least 1 years’ previous experience teaching/supporting young people in a UK educational setting and be able to provide references to support this.
* Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
* Hold the right to work in the UK
* Register with Prospero teaching
* Be creative, patient and willing to think outside of the box
* QTS or equivalent
* Have experience working with SEND or disengaged pupils

Hours: Flexible, part time, term time only (Work with more than one young person to build up your hours!)
Contract type: Temporary (long term)
Duration: Until the pupil can reintegrate into a new school placement
