Salary: £24,697.40 per annum

We are recruiting a Cattery Carer who will share our compassion and commitment for animal welfare.
Working with staff and volunteers across the Home, you will have a hand in helping all the cats in our care, from feeding, cleaning, behaviourally assessing and socialising to rehoming. This can be physically and emotionally demanding but is also hugely rewarding; you can view some of our amazing rescue stories here .
We offer a caring and supportive team, lots of variety and the opportunity to make a lasting difference to the lives of cats who rely on us.
We operate 7 days a week, the successful candidate will work Tuesday – Saturday either 8-4pm or 9 am-5 pm depending on the cattery rota and occasionally Evening (3 pm -11 pm) cover is required in exceptional circumstances, holidays and sickness absence. For these occasions, confidence working and handling with dogs is required.

Generally, you will:
* Helping to meet the specific needs of cats in our care by feeding, cleaning, enrichment, grooming and administering pre-prescribed medications
* Making sure the cattery and associated areas and equipment are clean and maintained
* Helping with carrying out behaviour assessments
* Helping updating and maintaining accurate records, including health, behavioural and enrichment care plans
To be successful in this role, you need:
* Experience in handling cats and caring for them
* Able and willing to work co-operatively in a team
* A calm, compassionate, resilient and friendly manner
