Our client is a trailblazer in the food industry, partnering with some of the UK’s biggest grocers, Tesco, Asda, Morrisons & Iceland, delivering innovative products and driving category growth.
They are now searching for an exceptional Head of Retail to lead their retail account portfolio, valued at circa £60 million, and take their partnerships to new heights.
Key Responsibilities

Commercial Leadership: Take full P&L responsibility for the key retail accounts, driving sales growth and maximising profitability.
*
Relationship Management: Be the go-to expert for all commercial queries, nurturing strong partnerships with retail contacts and internal teams.
*
Strategic Growth: Identify and seize new business opportunities, expanding the business presence with existing and new retail and foodservice customers.
*
Project Management: Oversee the critical path for all new product development (NPD) projects, collaborating closely with the NPD team to deliver innovative launches on time and within budget.
*
Insight & Analysis: Provide in-depth sales analysis, accurate forecasting, and market data to inform decision-making and support winning presentations.
*
Continuous Improvement: Conduct regular reviews of our retail business, analysing performance, new product success, and setting ambitious future targets.
*
Operational Excellence: Manage stock levels, ensure accurate product databases, and work with technical teams to resolve any issues swiftly and effectively.

Proven track record in commercial management within the food industry, ideally with experience handling major retail accounts.

Exceptional relationship-building and communication skills.
