PCB Layout Engineer
Contract: 6 month contract, Location: Stevenage, Compensation: £60ph Inside IR35.
Overview
We are looking for an experienced PCB Layout Engineer to work alongside a market‑leading Defence and Aerospace company. The role will involve full PCB design and collaboration with stakeholders to deliver high reliability hardware.
Responsibilities
* Provide full PCB Design Layouts from Electronic, Mechanical and Environmental requirements.
* Offer a design service including library management, technical support, component placement, signal routing, peer reviews/checking and creation of final documentation.
* Ensure designs and hardware comply with design constraints, rules and processes.
* Collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders from conception to delivery, meeting project timelines.
Qualifications & Skills
* Knowledge and experience of PCB layout design processes and best practices.
* Understanding of IPC standards for high reliability products.
* Familiarity with PCB fabrication processes and technologies (materials, stack‑ups, etc.).
* Strong communication skills for regular face‑to‑face and electronic communication with stakeholders.
* Proficiency in Zuken CR5000 or CR8000.
