Role and Responsibilities:
As a Behavioural Support Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting students with social, emotional, and behavioural needs. Your responsibilities will include:
* Implementing trauma-informed practices to foster a safe, structured learning environment.
* Providing one-to-one and group support to help students regulate their emotions and behaviour.
* Building strong, trusting relationships to encourage student engagement and personal growth.
* Working collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and wider staff to deliver effective support strategies.
* Applying positive behaviour management techniques to help students navigate daily challenges.
* Encouraging and motivating students to reach both academic and personal milestones.
* Monitoring progress and adjusting support strategies as needed.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate will possess:
* Experience working with students with SEMH needs and behavioural challenges.
* A trauma-informed approach to supporting vulnerable young people.
* High levels of patience, resilience, and empathy.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* The ability to remain calm and solution-focused in challenging situations.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
